Review: My Experience with the Weighted Collar from Blusss
Calming Relief with the Weighted Collar from Blusss
First encounter with the weighted collar Blusss gave me the opportunity to test some of their products and share my experience. While browsing their webshop, the weighted collar immediately caught my attention. I had previously tried a weighted blanket, but it was not always practical. The blanket often slipped off the couch or bed and was difficult to take along when traveling. However, I really enjoyed the calming effect of deep pressure. That is why the weighted collar seemed like the perfect alternative – and it truly was. Daily use I have used the weighted collar during various moments in my day. I wore it while doing household chores such as hanging the laundry or washing the dishes, but also while working behind my computer. In addition, I used the collar during my relaxation time, for example when reading or sitting on the couch. Because I am autistic, I often feel tense and become easily overstimulated. The collar provides a calming effect almost immediately and helps me not only during busy moments but also to release tension afterward. Comfort and wearability What I especially appreciate about the weighted collar from Blusss is the ease of use combined with comfort and effectiveness: The pressure and weight are evenly distributed, which makes the collar stay in place even when walking or doing household chores. The fabric feels soft and pleasant against the skin, which increases overall comfort. The collar is discreet in appearance, making it possible to wear it in public, for example while traveling or at work. The product is practical to grab when needed and easy to take along on trips. My conclusion For people who, like me, struggle with overstimulation, tension, or sensory sensitivity, this is a truly valuable product. It feels accessible, practical, and effective. For me, the weighted collar from Blusss is without doubt a highly recommended tool. What does a weighted collar actually do? A weighted collar works through the principle of deep pressure stimulation. This means that evenly distributed pressure on the body has a calming and relaxing effect. The same principle is often used in weighted blankets, weighted vests, or weighted cushions. Scientific insights Research shows that deep pressure can help calm the nervous system and reduce stress or anxiety. It may also support people experiencing sensory overstimulation, including those with autism, ADHD, or high sensitivity (HSP). Studies indicate that deep pressure stimulates the production of the “happiness hormone” serotonin and the sleep hormone melatonin, while reducing the stress hormone cortisol. As a result, weighted tools are increasingly used as a natural aid to regulate stress and bring more balance into daily life.
